Strokes member does a Frusciante

It seems that Albert Hammond Jr, from mainstream indie-rockers - of course that makes total sense - the Strokes, has embarked on a solo career, as a parallel path to his current fame with New York garage rock revivalists. The first album, "Yours to Keep," will be release on October 9, and features a number of artists such as Sean Lennon, Ben Kweller and Ryan Gentles.
Does he have a chance at any form of success? Possibly. Of course, he is the forgotten member of the Strokes, whereas a similar move from the fairly more publicised lead guitarist Nick Valensi would obviously be more succesful. Then of course there's the example of Chili Peppers lead guitarist John Frusciante - everyone remembers his solo gist during the days when Chili Peppers were forced to resort to Dave Navarro as a guitarist. Only time will tell.
Here's the track listing for the album.
