Obama Lets the Music Shine.

The Barack Obama Melody
Sure Barack Obama is inspiring a nation to think positive and continue to work hard for their rewards, but he has also become the muse for many a songwriter. Since the start of his campaign the pop star President has happily used music as a cornerstone of his charismatic public appearances.
This is nothing new in and of itself. Most all political hopefuls try to find melodies that hype crowds and support their causes. What is different here is that the messages contained in the 44th President’s speeches of hope, unity and change, have actually seen prominent songwriters penning original tunes.
Last Weekend’s ‘We Are One” free concert in Washington’s Lincoln Memorial Park resembled something seen on MTV more than any Political Party that came before it. There is an interesting article over on the-trades.com that tracks the musical story of the campaign.
Celebrity A-List members of the Cinema and Recording industry flooded the shindig of the season. Reaping the benefits of The Barack Obama Musical coalition, Bruce Springsteen opened the show with a heartfelt cry and from there it was wall to speaker deep in high demand entertainers.
From mlive.com
"With over a million strong audience, speeches were given by actors including Tom Hanks, Samuel Jackson, Jack Black, Denzel Washington and Usher. Performances were also given by Shakira, Mary J. Blige Jon Bon Jovi, Will.I.Am and Stevie Wonder."

Here's hoping unity and change is always an extravaganza
