Black Fingernail, Red Wine, and Two Video Clips
July 3rd 2006 03:23
Ok, this is something that has always puzzled me - why do some bands release several videos for the one single? Of course, nothing is as bad as Vanessa Amarosi - even she has a wiki - who managed to release three or four video clips for that undeniably annoying song, Absolutely Everybody. But even Eskimo Joe, that indie pop group from Fremantle, have done it, with their single, Black Fingernails, Red Wine. I only noticed it today, when MTV showed a film clip for it that I hadn't yet seen.
I thought that the one I had seen today, clip no. 1, was actually the second clip released by the band for this single, since I was used to seeing the other one, clip no. 2. This sort of made sense, because I can imagine that no. 2 has the distinct possibility of inflicting epilepsy on viewers (which, apparently, George Gregan's son has), but the guy who uploaded it to Youtube labels clip no. 1 as Version I. Oh well, in any case, both clips are pretty dark, which fits well into the style for their new album, "Black Fingernails and Red Wine." I think I like clip no. 1 better, because of the ending, but you decide for yourself and let me know.
Due to my complete and utter boredom, I managed to get the two clips to play simultaeoneously and in sync. Seems like a good way to see which clip you like better. Anyway, stay tuned for a review of the album tomorrow.

I decided to look up whether lead singer Kavyen Temperley was married or not, and came up with this. Quite disturbing really, but this wierded me out a little too much:
Searching the world
The lost will be found
In Freo you live
You sung us a song
It comes from the heart
You leave us in awe.
My god i only ever give my all.
Oh Kav, we're living for your name never be ashamed of you.
whoa oh oh
I praise and only in your name.
TAKE TAKE TAKE IT ALL x 2
Why? Because that's actually a Pentecostal song from Sydney church, Hillsong. A little too obsessive, no?

Is Kav sure that it's his kid because I'm pretty sure Abeni has been f*&#ing a few of the Notre Dame students...

It's probably not Kavs kid...
Hence they're not married and you don't hear about her from Kav himself. Apparently she is even Kav's type she was just a quickie after a concert
But hey could be wrong. But I doubt it though
we all know what Abeni is like
