Bloc Party new tracklist, tour
October 24th 2006 23:23
Bloc Party fans everywhere, especially British ones, will be jumping for joy at the latest news. The British indie-rockers have announced the tracklist for A Weekend in the City, their second album, and follow up to their debut, Silent Alarm
1. Song For Clay (Disappear Here)
2. Hunting For Witches
3. Waiting For The 7:18
4. The Prayer
5. Uniform
6. On
7. Where Is Home?
8. Kreuzberg
9. I Still Remember
10. Sunday
11. SRXT
For the most avid fans, many of these songs will already be familiar, heard in the form of extremely poorly recorded bootlegs from live concerts. As such, they would also know that some of the songs Bloc Party have been experimenting with at live concerts - originally called "England" and "We Were Lovers" - didn't make it to the album. The album is to be released February 5th 2007 in the UK, and February 6th in the US. The first single to be lifted off the album is "The Prayer," to be released on January 29th, apparently a bolero-inspired song.
To add to this, the British quartet have announced a huge tour in light of the release of their upcoming album. To the sadness of many, the tour is restricted thus far to Britain alone, quashing all rumours and hopes of a Bloc Party tour in Australia early next year. The British tour schedule as announced:
