Datarock break intl' deal
February 19th 2007 22:34
Nerdtronica extraordinaire outfit Datarock have finally managed to secure an international record deal. The band, who have been around for close to seven years now, signed a new record deal with Nettwork Music Group, which will allow the band a deal more exposure than they have had in the past.
Of course, the band have already made a name for themselves, having toured Australia, the US and various other countries before. Their hit song, "Computer Camp Love" made it to no. 12 in the Hottest 100 Countdown of Australian alternative radio station, Triple J, and made an appearance down under late last year, though on a regrettably low key. They are about to commence an exhaustive American tour.
The deal with Nettwerk Music Group will see the official re-release of their debut album, Datarock Datarock outside of Norway, as well as more focus on more frequent international tours, and possibly a second album.
Head to their Myspace to check them out.
