Fall Out Boy Under the Scope

Fall Out Boy - Infinity on High


Absolute Punk have uploaded two reviews of Fall Out Boy's upcoming album, Infinity on High. The reviews are pretty positive, which doesn't really fit with my hastily formed view of the album from what I've heard so far. Nevertheless, if you're thinking about buying the album when it hits stores, check out the reviews here and here. I'll try and get out a review sometime next week.

Hey man, i d/led the album the other day - never been a huge FOB fan, liked about two songs off their last record, but i wanted to roadtest this new one before my mate bought it so i could tell him my thoughts. To quote Jack Black's character in High Fidelity, It's ... *sigh* really fucking good. The music is brill, the vocals shine fantastically - it really is the best release of 2007 so far (hah, in only four weeks, not too hard). I think it might be one of the best releases of 2007 at the end of the year too. As I said, I've never really liked FOB, always thought their image was more important than the music, but this album I really like.

Did you have any pre-conceived notions yourself? I think they're pretty good, I'd be keen to have a listen to this one!
