Tool fans injured, Dirty Pretty Things blow
August 9th 2006 01:14
It's been a relatively slow week in music - well not really. Of course, there was Lollapalooza, but that was all the way across the Pacific, and Arthur Lee died but I'd be lying if I even pretended to know the impact he's had on the music industry, though I'm sure Pop Musicology can fill you in on that.
Following up from the death of a Korn fan after suffering extensive injuries in their concert recently, there has been another report of injured fans, this time during Tool's headlining set at Street Scene Festival in San Diego this week. Fifteen of 37, 000 total spectators were injured, requiring hospital treatment. Despite pressure from the band members themselves to calm down, the crowd continued to push towards the front, causing the injuries.
In completely unrelated news, I've just noticed that I forgot to create MusicTimes July MIxtape, so expect one in the next few days.
