Martina McBride: Live In Concert Hits Stores April 29
Martina McBride, one of the top female touring acts in the country, is bringing her powerful live concert to fans across the nation with the April 29 RCA Records Nashville release of Martina McBride: Live In Concert. The package features an eight-song live CD from one of country music’s most dynamic and astounding voices with a bonus live concert DVD.
McBride’s angelic voice and poignant delivery have made her a Grammy winner, four-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, three-time ACM Top Female Vocalist and one of Pollstar’s Top Female Touring Acts across all genres. For the first time, fans can own live tracks of eight of her biggest hits including “Happy Girl,” “Concrete Angel,” This One’s For The Girls,” “Anyway” and “Independence Day,” among others.
The bonus live DVD was recorded last September at Moline, Illinois’ I Wireless Center, for PBS’ Great Performances, which is airing across the country this month. Before a sold-out crowd, Martina delivered back-to-back spellbinding performances including “Where Would You Be,” “A Broken Wing” and “Wild Angels,” among others. Also featured in the package are the unforgettable classics “(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden” and “Help Me Make It Through The Night,” from her Timeless album, as well as fan favorites from the road including “Over the Rainbow,” Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” and Pat Benatar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot.”

Sadly, one of my favourite songs by Martina is not on either the live CD or DVD, the bouncy and irresistably catchy I Love You which is featured on Martina's Emotion album (which I do have as a studio album, just not live). Still, I'm thinking of adding them to my collection anyway, especially the DVD. I have both of Martina's music video DVDs, but I've never been fortunate enough to see her perform live, so this live DVD should be a treat.
Now I will post the lyrics to I Love You simply because I LOVE this song.
