Hi Everybody/ Fake Plastic Trees cover

December 18th 2009 05:09
Hey all!

I just got the opportunity to sort of take over this blog. I transferred my posts from a different blog over to here, so that's what the previous 3 posts are.

I thought I'd start this whole new experience by uploading a song that I just recorded about 10 minutes ago.

It's quite possibly the greatest song of all time-- Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead.
Radiohead Recording

I definitely didn't do it justice and I apologize to those hardcore Radiohead fans that may be offended by me "ruining" this song. But that said, I think it's at least kind of interesting.

Anyway, here it is...

Or to directly download it, right click and save as:

Matt Burdick - Fake Plastic Trees

I decided to turn the output of my preamp way up when I was recording this to get that distorted sound. I like the guitar, but I'm not as sure about the vocals.

Here's the original video just for kicks:

Hello Music Lovers

I just thought I would let you all know not only have I recently been able to hear Jon Peter Lewis' new single Break The Silence, but I have reasons why I feel it is so important for everyone to listen to this song. Of course, through my promotions and sending the song around to people before I even got a chance to hear it myself, I'm sure (or I hope) many of you already realise this, but not only is Jon's new song beautiful, but I feel it is a very important song as far as self-healing and potentially saving lives is concerned

New Bloc Party Video

January 11th 2007 11:19
Bloc Party might still have to officially "The Prayer," but that hasn't stopped them from getting a little ahead of themselves. The British post-punk quartet have readied the music video for "I Still Remember," the second single scheduled to be released from their upcoming second album, A Weekend in the City, a full two weeks ahead of the first single, "The Prayer."

Still, the video for "I Still Remember" has its merits. The video explores the various ways to cure boredom on train voyages, and the many incarnations of Kele Okereke. The single is scheduled to be released in February, after the release of "The Prayer" later this month, and after the release of A Weekend in the City on February 5th.

New Polytechnic Video

Can't find much on Polytechnic, but I found this video too good not to put up. The piano, the choir, the vocals - it's haunting but its brilliant. Enjoy.

Is This How it Ends? Not for Starky

November 25th 2006 20:56
I've mentioned Starky before, the Sydney indie-rock quartet that supported Snow Patrol when they last came to Australia. Now, they've made a little bit of noise, this time appearing on the NME frontpage, albeit not a great feat considering some of the band's that NME place unsupported bias on, but still a sign that they're beginning to make themselves known. Here's the video for Is This How It Ends, lifted from their self-titled second album.
