New Antiskeptic material

In a day full of local music, Melbourne-based Aussie punk band, Antiskeptic, have released "Monuments," a new EP in anticipation of the full album. The four-track EP features the first new material from the three-piece since their 2004 LP, "Aurora." After two years of successful touring with support bands such as Gyroscope, Kisschasy and After the Fall (who have all become popular of late), the band are poised to release their new album, yet to be officially titled, to the public.
The EP is bundled with a DVD for just that little bit extra value, which all Aussies love. The DVD consists of video from live locations such as a 2005 concert at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. As for the EP itself, the songs depart from the style of "Aurora" while still being essentially Antiskeptic, at least in the vocal aspect. The music is a lot darker and heavier, a progressive path from their light-hearted first LP, "Memoirs of a Common Man." The songs - Dancing on the Inside, Selling Your Time, Hello Halo, and Hallelujah - all show a distinct reach towards a rockier Antiskeptic with a dance beat base, something which is relatively new for the band.
The new material is quite good in its own right, simple and poppy like they've always been, but noticeably striving to becoming better technically and as a band. If this material matches in any way to the third LP, then it will definitely be a good album.
