Gautier/Gotye/Goatie ey?

Ok wow did I get it wrong. In a comment I made on my post yesterday about Hard-Fi, I sidetracked, saying that I was falling in love with a song constantly played on the Australian public youth music station, Triple J. In the comment, I called the artist Gautier, since that was always what I assumed it was. My comment spurred me into motion and I foraged the Triple J site in search of the artist's true name until I found him - Gotye. Seriously, who spells their name like that. He's from Melbourne I guess...
So it turns out his real name is Wally DeBacker, and under the moniker of "Gotye" he has released two albums. Now that I know his name, I can finally access his music in a far better quality than what analogue radio can offer. Gotye is a pretty damn good artist - he created his latest album over two years entirely on his own with various instruments and a computer, and the result is fantastic. Heart's a Mess is the track played constantly by Triple J, a mix of foreign percussion, wierd sounds and Gotye's vocals which are decent enough to carry the message. Hopefully, I'll be able to grab his album soon enough and then I can review him properly. For now, check him out.
