The Killers to write new Bond theme
December 15th 2006 23:42
In keeping with the new tradition of American male singers, the makers of the Bond series have approached the Killers to write the theme song for the new Bond film. Chris Cornell, whose horrible attempt at a Bond theme featured in Casino Royale was the first American male singer to write a Bond theme. Now Brandon Flowers will make that two when the Killers write the new Bond theme.
British tabloid, The Sun has quoted a source which has said "the Killers have reached the perfect point in their career to do a Bond track. They have the right sound, right look and a huge fanbase, making them the perfect choice." The song will accompany the twenty-second Bond film, whose working title is Risico. The movie is reportedly based on Ian Fleming's short story by the same name. The story focuses on Bond's attempt to infiltrate an Italian drug smuggling operation and the trials that Bond faces during the operation. Could be a good story, but please don't leave the title.
