have, of late, relied merely on cameos from noticeable musicians and artists to gain credibiility. These cameos are usually pretty ordinary. Ricky Gervais
has a different idea - get famous people in to make fun of themselves and actually contribute to the plotline. This is the premise of his relatively new series, The Extras
, which is into its second season now. While the first season was coloured with artists the likes of Samuel L Jackson and Ben Stiller, the second lends some more space to musicians the likes of David Bowie
and Chris Martin
. I prefer the Bowie cameo, but the Chris Martin one isn't too bad either.
