Thirty Seconds to Mars... or is that China?
November 23rd 2006 20:53
Mascara-laden emo-rockers 30 Seconds to Mars find themselves in a Jet Li inspired version of Medieval China in the music video for their latest single, "From Yesterday." The video itself is actually done quite well, but it is a little annoying to watch, because the song itself is broken up into three separate pieces interwoven between the underlying narrative. Then again, it is more than likely that you'll never see this edit of the video on TV, so you won't have to suffer often.
It's taken 30 Seconds to Mars two albums, but they're finally gaining some airplay. Too bad it had to take the popularity of far inferior bands like AFI and others like to project them into the limelight. The single is lifted from A Beautiful Lie
, the 2005 followup to their self-titled debut
. Enjoy:
