Bif Naked the Canadian punk rock Queen is facing the challenge of her life after being diagnosed with Breast Cancer according to Reuters.com.
The confronting lyricist, spoken word artist and screen actress renowned for her strong stage persona and gritty studio albums made the announcement in a radio interview on Sunday.
Playing to the crowd
Born in India and adopted by American Missionaries she was raised in Winnipeg. An exceptional poet while still in her teens, Bif began the collage of spiritual tattoo that now adorn her body at 16. Now she is covered in mythic symbols from all points of the globe.
Talking about the shocking news straight edge Vegan Bif said, "It's been two weeks from being completely healthy to cancer patient with surgery, radiation and chemotherapy scheduled." She continues, "It is a very surreal situation for (my husband) Ian and I at this time."

No stranger to tackling life head on, she has already come through a previously discovered heart aneurism. Determined to survive, Naked says
"I have never been one to give up when an obstacle is placed in front of me. I am in the fight of my life, and I'm lucky to have the support of my husband Ian and many friends and family members,"

Trying to turn a negative into a positive she is going to focus on achieving goals saying "I plan to continue working on these recording projects in between the cancer treatments and come out the other side with two great albums and a clean bill of health.”
