Thom Yorke's Response to Criticism?
July 28th 2006 03:17
Despite Metallica finally succumbing to the digital music revolution, Brandon Flowers' half-hearted apology to Fall Out Boy, the Bravery, Panic! and countless others; and the subsequent leak of some news in relation to the new album (check out the new album art below), it has been a relatively slow music week. So what's there to say except that Thom Yorke has posted a cryptic message on the Dead Air Space section of the Radiohead website, that gives absolutely no clues as to what it might mean. Here's the message:
"(miscellaneous category *B)

Too long for a haiku.... in NME's report, they suggested that it might be a response to reviews of Thom Yorke's horrible first solo effort culminating in "The Eraser." While this doesn't seem like a stupid theory at first, it clearly says at the top of the Dead Air Space page: "found this in old notes." Hmmm, maybe not a recent thing? Possibly. Make of it what you will, and for enjoy the album art for Killers' new album, "Sam's Town." Oh, and you can check out the first semi-review of the album here
